TOAT - Thread of All Time

So the Landlords on my case about my cleanliness! thread got us talking about doing a thread of all time since the Landlord thread is destined to go down through the ages. I'd like to do a top 10 and vote on it, but I don't know how to even whittle it down to 10 there were so many memorable threads throughout the history of the forums here. So I know what the end result should look like, but I'm not sure how to get there. Obviously start nominating threads, but we need a process to get down to the final result. Maybe the prize could be a bronzed toad or something.

Suggestions so far:
1. Plane crashes into World Trade Center!! aka the 9/11 Thread
2. Landlords on my case about my cleanliness!
3. Woman Can't Find a Date Online and Blames the Internet
4. Should This Girl Leave Her Boyfriend? - aka the Honeyclam saga
5. Dating advice needed (1st date in 4 1/2 years!)
6. Pretty sure wife wants to leave... (and she's gone)
7. I am having one lucky week! YMMV

9. Please help me settle a dispute with my wife. aka Refreshing!
10. Situation: Parents asking 4 rent, BUT..... aka Top Bunk
11. The Drink-Man Chronicles & Drink-Man 2: Drink Harder
12. Received a rejection letter from Police Dept.
13. My son's drawing... aka The Penis Chair
14. OMG Zombies are real. Sex offender pic [Peppers]
15. Has anyone seen this girl skank?
16. If you want to be an attractive guy in the USA, is being White very important? & Are things going to get better for non-White men with White women? [Merged]
17. Part 1: Check out this ebay seller & Check Out This eBay Seller Part Deux: The Crayons Strike Back! & Part Three: The Crayons Travel. Trade For A Picture & Crayon on parade (part IV) & Crayon on Parade (Part V) - Waxing Nostalgic - The Crayon Threads
18. Photochop my friend pt 3 aka Daddy Cool
19. Post your DISASTROUS DATE experiences -
20. How many have been told to stay away from the DVD trash bins at rental stores? aka danol Dumpster dive
21. My vacectomy ended in frostbite. A public service announcement. RE culd de sacs
22. Does bread shrink when you freeze it?
23. Just got my tattoo done...
24. Diner etiquette regarding sitting at the counter & My new neighbors won't let anyone park in front of their house & I hate my neighbor's gardener (a Mabuse micro-rant) & Neighbor who flies Palestinian flag. What's up with that? aka Best of Mabuse rants
25. Is my girlfriend crazy? (Believes she doesn't need a license to drive)
26. First time stripping.
27. A Guide To Knowing Your Tenants. In The Biblical Sense.

Would the 9/11 thread be eligible even though it's archived?

Re: TOAT - Thread of All Time

I never got started reading the Landlord thread, I wouldn't even know where to start in reading through it. I think any one of the Ghostbusters (2016) threads should be considered.

Makes sense that the winner of the TOAT should get a toad.

I nominate the Honeyclam saga. There were many parts, the original thread was this:

Should This Girl Leave Her Boyfriend?

These were considered the best threads, but that more than ten years ago.

Let me rephrase that, I never made a post in it so I can't make any judgement on it being best thread of all time.

My votes are for Eddie Money’s marital problems (long overdue for a Where Are They Now?) and Alan’s media hoarding.

Re: TOAT - Thread of All Time

I feel like we've done this before. I recall mentioning the Crayon Thread, and the Pig Mask Traveling thread. And I recall someone bringing up Art's man-on-man in straight pron thread also.

Edit, it wasn't exactly the TOAT, but had similar notables:
https://forum.dvdtalk.com/other-talk...weirdness.html

Some good ones mentioned from Nick:
Master dogs.
Dumpster diving for DVD cases.
Topbunk not getting his fair share of pizza.
Picking up a tranny at a bus stop and getting into a doomed relationship.
Boron cowpunch clothing.
Using the Other Forum to get out the word that VMS alarm company was a scam.

And the Kittydreamer chair

Would it still count if it was in the Adult Forum?

Re: TOAT - Thread of All Time

A couple of my all time favorites are:

The guy who was furious that Target wouldn’t let him get a free slurpee refill days after he originally bought it. That was in the Store forum so it didn’t get nearly the attention that an Otter thread would.

And the guy who’s wife raided the Wal-mart lost and found and was expecting Otter to cyber high five him. The opposite reaction from forum members made the thread great.

I tried searching and couldn’t find either thread. I also don’t remember what the thread titles were, exactly.

And I don’t think it was it’s own thread, but the guy who insisted his kid’s knew that their Christmas gifts were bought by him because he didn’t want Santa Clause to get undue credit is also be a favorite of mine.

And Top Bunk is the most overrated thread in DVDTalk history. There I said it.
