Well I never! (Am making 2 gallons of kimchi tonight . . . 1.5 of napa and half a gallon of radish (gakdugi) kimchi. We eat a hell of a lot of kimchi in our house--this will only last a couple months. Maangchi, a Korean youtube cook, is my favorite celebrity chef.

Yeah, instead of going for a balanced flavor they shoot for some sort of overkill record to make a name for themselves. A good IPA is crisp and just bitter enough, a grease cutter to accompany heavy food or a refreshing cold one on a hot day.
Full disclosure: I actually find some of the superhopped beers tasty when the mood strikes and I'm on the hunt for that green, pine on the back of the tongue zing. I like gin too, though, so maybe it's just my palate.

it's funny...i didn't get into beer in college. didn't like the taste of it. stuck to liquor and weed. it wasn't until i went into the Business world and went to happy hours that i had beer and then grew a taste for only a few kinds...

I'm another who's never developed a taste for beer or liquor for the most part. Every now in a great while I'll have one but I have to be in the right mood and I don't crave it or anything ever. Honestly about the only kinds I really like are the apple flavored kinds like Redd's or Shock Top.

I find it absolutely amazing and sickening the wide gamut of things people choose to (and even love) putting into their mouths. The vilest, most bitter, slimiest, most foul things. Especially the native Chinese. I've seen many of those "ten grossest' food sites, and been thoroughly disgusted.
Somewhere in this wide land, I wouldn't be surprised if people voluntarily ingest feces and love it.
I'm quite particular about what I put into my mouth. Granted, this seems to have worked quite well, as I've never had Montezuma's revenge, "stomach flus", 'ptomaine' poisoning, or other intestinal ailments that seem to be so common among others who are less discerning in their culinary intake.
It seems to be common sense to watch carefully what you put into that hole.

I don't like sweet potatoes just in regular fashion but sweet potato fries are actually pretty good.

Must be pretty delicious for people to pay hundreds for it.

Ground beef. I can't eat it.
I eat steak, sausage (links & patties), hot dogs. But I can't eat ground beef.
No hamburgers, tacos, meat sauce, meatballs.
It's a texture thing.

Peanut Butter - the smell makes me gag, and I can't speak to the taste because I've never eaten any.
Sweet potatoes/Yams - again, the smell and the visual appeal is not there for me.
Cake - donuts, cupcakes, muffins, things like that. I think it's a texture thing.

I hate them how they are cooked at thanksgiving with butter, marshmallows, and cinnamon sugar. Thats gross, but I like sweet potatoes fries, and I make hash browns with them when eating healthy.

My wife loves sweet potatoes/yams; I much prefer regular potatoes.
I'm also no a fan of mangoes or honeydew melons.
I love me a good strong double IPA, though.

I agree, although I'm more of a wheaty beer type of guy. Give me a good hefeweizen or weizenbock like Weihenstephaner or Ayinger and I'm in heaven.

I dislike but can eat broccoli, cauliflower, and brussels sprouts if they are prepared in specific ways.
I can't eat avocado or beets no matter how they are prepared.

A little spices and salt. Some olive oil. Yea. I grew up having my mom cook mushy vegetables. No wonder I hated veggies so much. I'm currently maybe 90% vegan and eat a pile of veggies almost every day. Boiled veggies are still gross. Sorry mom.
