It's an inside joke to rearrange the letters? I'm aware of the Yet Another... tradition.

Not after I send him a message BEFORE buying specifically asking about it and he writes back "no scratches," read the first post. I just picked the easiest thing to photograph.

I get it you didn't want any scratches, it just read like you mentioned those scratches as a side note and with that tone just seemed like you didn't mind those scratches but would not tolerate the artwork ones.

I occasionally sell stuff on eBay - not anymore since the bottom fell out of DVD and BD sales - and thankfully, never had anyone complain or even ask about the condition. Fear of being hassled is the biggest reason I don't sell more shit.

I rarely buy from ebay for this reason. The buyer is responsible for return shipping, even if the product wasn't as described. Had it happen to me before.

He offered $5 back and for me to keep it, but honestly, I wouldn't even use them for free, if he had told me to keep them I'd still have bought a replacement set.

No kidding. It's an auction site comprised of anonymous buyers and sellers. Caveat emptor. You just have to expect to take the occasional loss. Some stuff you can only get on eBay - at least easily.

I remember when I was a kid I used to get so mad if I had a scratch on my Hot Wheel or my bike.

Then I grew up

I block any eBay buyer who send me multiple question emails. I just know If they buy it and see any type of issue they will freak the fuck out. Not worth the hassle of dealing with a crazy person.

^ I don't sell on eBay, but I would totally do that if I did. People are weird.

Yeah, crazy people who want items listed as Like Knew to look Like New. Heavens forbid you may list it as "Used - Acceptable" and put in the description "Normal wear and tear of disc use, but plays great."

Not to derail the thread, but is the "Ultimate Edition" the set to get? I'm still watching my HD DVD set...lol...but w/prices so low in BD now, might as well replace it.

Girl: Wow. It's a schooner.

Willam: Ha ha ha ha. You dumb bastard. It's not a schooner... it's a Sailboat.

Little Boy: A schooner IS a sailboat stupid head!

Willam: You know what? There is NO Easter Bunny! Over there, that's just a guy in a suit!

I pretty much only buy in circumstances where I can't find it off of eBay or when there is an official store on ebay now. I have had a few too many that didn't meet my expectations , so maybe I have bad luck or maybe my expectations are too high.

Of note, I don't mind buying fun FBA sellers on Amazon because amazon backs them fully. Though personally I would never ever ever sell DVD /br on add amazon FBA because of their co mingling program, you could be accused of piracy even if the item you sent in was authentic, costing you $25k for a lawyer to defend you or being levied a judgement, in addition to paying amazon to either return your remaining product or pay amazon to destroy it.

Re: YEAT: Am I being too picky or do I have a legitimate beef?

I'm picky, that's why I don't buy used. If I have to buy something used because it's out of print, I take whatever I get- never gotten anything that was unplayable, save for a random overly-scratched laserdisc in a bulk lot.
