Depends on the cut.
I have had some shitty cuts before and I wont tip.
I have had some good cuts that I leave anywhere from $2-$5 depending again, on the cut.

Re: Men's Haircut ...how much do you tip?

I go to Great Clips. A haircut costs $14 and I give a $3 tip.

I don't have any particular stylist I use. Who ever happens to be available when I walk in cuts my hair.

You tip for a haircut ? Guess things have changed since the last hair cut I got. Sometime in 1993.

Re: Men's Haircut ...how much do you tip?

I tip 90% of the bill.

But the bill is $0.

I use electric clippers and buzz my head myself. I'm not going to pay someone else to do what I can just as easily do myself. A blind one-armed monkey can buzz a head with clippers.

Yeah, I was thinking $5 tip on $16 cut if it is a good cut, not so great $4.

Re: Men's Haircut ...how much do you tip?

$25 total... a friends sister has a home salon. Sometimes I wonder if it's a little cheap and if I should bump it to $30, usually takes 20min.

Is that like that photograph thing, you think cutting hair somehow steals your soul? Or am I thinking of Amish?

Re: Men's Haircut ...how much do you tip?

We'll, tommorow I'm getting a cut, color, wax and for the first time, balayage. I'm sure it'll be well in excess of 100 and I'll tip 20%. Sigh.

$11 for the cut, $4 for the tip. I usually give a $20 and just ask for $5 back.

It's been so much easier ever since I could either just cut it myself or buzz it short. Free is hard to beat.
