Man charged after woman catches him allegedly having sex with her teen daughter

A 23-year-old Kansas City man has been charged with statutory rape after a woman caught him allegedly having sexual intercourse with her 16-year-old daughter.

Jackson County prosecutors have charged Lovey R. Love with one count of second-degree statutory rape.

According to court documents:

The victim’s mother went to check on her daughter about 11 a.m. Wednesday and allegedly found a man and her daughter engaged in sexual intercourse.

The suspect allegedly went to the bathroom and the mother grabbed a knife from the kitchen. He stayed in the bathroom until police arrived.

The mother told police that she had once or twice told the suspect that her daughter was 16.

The man told police he assumed the girl was about 18 years old.

Yeah but Ariel Winter is 15. She falls closer to the honest mistake realm than a 12 year old ever would. Even a ridiculously endowed 12-year-old like Saaya Irie (back when she first made headlines) was still clearly a 12-year-old. The only girl who'd likely look of legal age at 12 would probably be Courtney Stodden, who looked well into her 30's (and a hard 30's at that) when she was 16.

Not gonna lie. Was with a 16 year old when I was 21. She was far more experienced than I was as well (most still are!)

I remember having lunch with a co-worker who was divorced. She told me she had to be real careful about who she dated because many guys would seek out moms of teenage girls in order to try and bag the daughter. Yuk. Can't even stand to watch porn with teens in it.

It's the same in Kansas. Though I guess it IS against the law in Missouri, where this happened. The age is 17 here.

If someone is 18 or older, but younger than 21, then the age of consent is 14. As soon as a person turns 21 years old, then they may no longer have sex with anyone UNDER 17

Thats a dumb law: Say Nick is 20 and dating a 15 year old. Legal. Nick turns 21, and the girl turns 16. The dating must then stop for one year.

The possibility exists that he was too young or you didn't give it enough of a chance. Purely in the interest of science I will sacrifice myself to allow you to have a more mature and experienced male lover, only then will you truly know for sure.


Although you can point out inequities in the law, I think there should be some sort of protection for minors from older predatory men. My age will show when I tout the double standard, but I don't think it applies equally. A young guy banging his teacher is most boys fantasy. I don't think it hurts the kid in the long run in most cases where a young girl and older guy could more frequently be hurtful.

Last week was the Fireman's Carnival here town. We help out with things like traffic and crowd control. One of the cops asked me and my partner to keep checking out the park. Kids will go there to fight or smoke pot. We found a car parked, did an approach and it was just a couple trying to get it on. All we do is make sure they are both of age and send them on their way. The girl is wearing the guys sweatshirt when I look down and see her shirt on the floor. I said; "That's all your wearing isn't it?" The answer was "Maybe". It made me uncomfortable because she was 19. If she was 35 I'd be thinking of a reason to ask her for the sweatshirt. Yowza. Sorry ma'am, gotta check for weapons. Look at those cannons.

I was 27 when I banged my first 19 year old girl. Never been with anything younger. I'd go 18, but it's a drag getting into clubs and her not being able to buy alcohol.
