Do you like/not like your job?

If you like it, what do you like about it?
If you do not like it, what do you not like about it?

Re: Do you like/not like your job?

Other than not getting paid a whole lot, I love my job.

Working at a record store is the low-stress environment I needed after being the assistant manager at a gas station for five years.

Re: Do you like/not like your job?

I FUCKIN' HATE my job and it just got worse due to some changes in the field. I have a crazy as boss who yells and screams like a crazy woman and it's stressing me out big time. I'm also on call 24/7.

But, I can't blame anyone buy myself for ending up here.

I'm looking to make changes....

The boss is a ditz, and the pay is lousy.

Re: Do you like/not like your job?

I was layed off from my job on August 24th after 8 years. I used to like my job, but then when I saw all the favoritism/nepotism/racism/sexism, I despised it.
I have a college dergree and my direct supervisor never finished high school, could not speak proper English and yet made double the money that I did.
I just don't suck a mean dick or toss the boss' salad like he does.

Re: Do you like/not like your job?

I'm in the "not" category. I work too much, have too much stress, and am on call 24/7. The problem is the money is pretty good and it pays the bills. I just don't have a life outside of work.

It's an alright gig. I bring my boss 40% and he keeps me safe. Can't complain.

I love my job. Hated being salary and in upper management in retail dealing with all the bullshit. Now I sell cars and have made more money than I ever could with a lot less stress.

Re: Do you like/not like your job?

Love my job, pay is decent.

My boss is great and my co-workers are fine for co-workers. I get some decent perks, a fair amount of responsibility and limited direction which is perfect for me.

Though my next career move is working for myself. I'd prefer to not have to report to anyone but myself.

Speech language pathologist here.

Things I love about my job include getting to play with kids all day, not being micromanaged like regular teachers are (I get to design my own therapy plans and don't have to go with a premade curriculum), decent pay, summers and school holidays off, and having a sense that my work means more than just a paycheck.

Things I don't love include paperwork, Medicaid billing, and an ever-growing case load.

Job could be better. Each year it's tougher to keep the pimp hand strong.

Re: Do you like/not like your job?

Job's mostly pretty good, pay could be better. Boss is good, and also knows a lot which is a plus in my book. My co-workers are all pretty good too. I do have some repetitious crap, but I can also work on different projects I come up with as long as they might lead somewhere.

People are generally really appreciative when I show them how to do stuff, or get them data or whatever it is they need, so that's good too.

I'd still rather just be rich bum, but given that that's not an option, this job is fine.

Re: Do you like/not like your job?

Very happy with my job. It's challenging, I like the people I work with every day (this includes my Wife), and the pay is good. If you asked this 6 months ago it would have been a different answer but I more or less demoted myself out of management and things are terrific.
