I thought that was quite clever. And that ad is just as beautiful as that car. Woahhhh!

Wow that was really cool. I knew about the enigma machine but had never seen a breakdown on the mathematics of how it worked and how the allies broke the code.

In my opinion, this Han Solo fan film is way better than the official Han Solo movie that came out last year:

^Yeah, I saw that on the news and knew right away is was Buttonville. I used to drive past it when commuting to Richmond Hill.

There have been a few crashes there, over the years.

Spoiler:

When I first saw the egg, I was sure it was a krayt dragon. At the end when I found it was a rancor, I was surprised. Either way, this was awesome.

I think we've had this conversation before, but yeah, I worked in the Hwy 7/E. Beaver Creek area more than 20 years ago. Some time ago there were plans to close the airport, but I don't know what became of them.

Yes, we did. I think you are correct, too, that they were planning to close the airport.

I just found a list on Wikipedia of the incidents at, or related to, Buttonville, and this latest incident would be the 7th, since 2010. Among those, there have been 7 fatalities.

It seems rather high, doesn't it?

Yes, especially since the airport only accommodates small propeller planes. I don't know if the reason for the planned closure was safety concerns. I think at the time a second large international airport (in north Pickering) was still being contemplated (and may still be to this day; I'm not sure), and Buttonville was deemed redundant or old.

I love unnecessary excess in vehicles, but that thing is just poorly designed (unless there are a few dozen cameras surrounding it and a HUD in the windshield). I wonder how many accidents he's gotten into due to not being able to see anything within 100' feet of the front of the vehicle. Maybe if the cab were a few feet higher or the hood were sloped down quite a bit it would be a different story.

I'd also like to see him change his own tire.
