One night in Toronto, what should I do?

I'm spending the night in Toronto. It's my first time here. We're in Yorkville near Yonge and Bloor, just east of the University of Toronto. We like eating and drinking. Suggestions?

Thanks!

You could very easily walk up and down Yonge and find lots of restaurants and bars. There are some fun places in the theather district which you can easily get to on the subway. At Yonge and Bloor you can get on the subway, which is fantastic, and go all up and down yonge.

CN tower is very nice to look out from. Restaurant at the top. pricey, but it does include getting to the top for the view.

That night in Toronto with its checkerboard floors
riding on horseback and keeping order restored
til the men they couldn't hang
stepped to the mic and sang
and their voices rang with that Aryan twang

Hemmingway's for drinking, and Sassafraz for eating.
And don't forget to check out Brass Rail.

So, what did you finally do in Toronto? I used to love going to the record stores, like Sam's, but they've been vanishing left and right.

We went to a pub down the street from our hotel, then a Korean BBQ, then found a Belgian Waffle place to quench our drunken desire for something sweet.
