Whataburger

I'm on TDY right now (this week, it's Texas!) and I wanted to try something new. So on a whim I drove through a nearby Whataburger and picked up dinner there.

I ordered Combo #2, which was a Double Meat Whataburger, "Medium" fries and drink. I had them add smoked jalapenos to the burger. It was delicious and filling. The "Medium" fries were huge (they completely covered a dinner plate back at the hotel when poured out) and the "Medium" drink was equally huge. I'd hate to see the "Large" version of either.

Just thought I'd share.

Re: Whataburger

I get a little homesick for Whataburger every time I go on vacation anywhere for over a week.

I remember eating there when I lived in Florida. Pretty much your standard burger, IMO.

Try the breakfast taquitos. The potato, egg, and cheese ones rock!

Re: Whataburger

Whataburger is very good and open 24 hours. Getting a double Whataburger is mandatory.

Re: Whataburger

The only problem with that ad is it makes me feel like asking them to remove the lettuce, pickles, and tomatoes would be some sort of destruction of the burger's integrity.

Re: Whataburger

for those who have had both, how does it compare to In-N-Out?

If you wanted the veggies, you'd order a salad. I usually get my burger without any veggies.

I'd say In-N-Out has an edge... but at Whataburger you don't need to order multiple burgers to get full.

Re: Whataburger

I've been to Texas two or three times, and I always make sure I eat at Whataburger at least twice

Their 'medium' drink is just way too big for me, too. I think I'm going to start asking for a small, just because.

Thing is i almost never order combo, because i don't drink soda. and most of the time, i'd rather get another burger over fries.

Re: Whataburger

Whataburger is awesome. It's the 3rd best fast food hamburger we have locally, only trailing Five Guys and Hardee's. They have the best breakfast sandwich on earth though: Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit .

Re: Whataburger

I've only been there a couple of times when I go down to Orlando but I love that place. It's one of the highlights of my trip. They had a chicken strip sandwich a couple of weeks ago and it was very tasty.

I've only had In-N-Out once unfortunately, but Double/Double Animal Style > Double Meat Whataburger.

For the most part, I think they do.
