Anyone tried Pop Chips?

Some lady at work is raving about them but doesn't have any. Target is the only place close that has them, but I don't know if they're worth the drive.

http://www.popchips.com/

Flavors:
Original
BBQ
Parmesan Garlic
Salt & Pepper
Sea Salt & Vinegar

Which ones are good?

Re: Anyone tried Pop Chips?

Chips made from popping, not frying. I'd link but there's some 30 post milestone that must be reached. Google will tell you, though. (Sorry for the homework?)

hm. They say they don't bake them, but that they do apply heat.

What are they trying to pull?

I tried the BBQ.. the closest thing I can come up to compare it to are Nibb-its made by Yick Lung.

Re: Anyone tried Pop Chips?

^I'd be all over that if I'd tried them. I don't want 11.9 bags of suck in my house. From the reviews, it looks like original, Garlic Parm and BBQ are popular, though.

I just spotted these at the store today. Maybe I should pick some up with my lunch.

Maybe you should pick up every flavor and review them! And also give me three points of snacking reference so I know whether or not to dismiss your opinion completely (just kidding (kind of (but not really))).

While I do apply heat, I don't do it for a check from them.

How long have you worked for Interpol, Mrs. Danger?

Re: Anyone tried Pop Chips?

They've had these in the Von's & Ralph's supermarkets here in California for over a year.

Just my opinion, but they suck. Like eating flavored Styrofoam. If I want a somewhat healthy snack food I go for the Baked Lays stuff or the Kettle Brand Baked snacks. More body and better taste.

I'm contract labor, not a regular employee.

Thanks, I'll pass the comments to my supervi.. I mean, I'll keep that in mind when I'm buying snacks (which will include a variety of delicious products from Nabisco).

Only available west of the Rockies? Fuck them, I'll stay with Cape Cod (Jalapeno and smoked cheddar FTW!)

Re: Anyone tried Pop Chips?

I finally had some of these, the Parmesan Garlic is pretty tasty. Not enough to get a pallet from Amazon, but Target has them so I'll pick up a bag or two there.

Gotta love that slogan... "Love. Without the handles." Implying that you won't get fat if you eat these chips compared to fried chips. Calories are calories.

Re: Anyone tried Pop Chips?

I bought the variety pack of the single serve size from amazon. Not bad and covers my potato chip cravings. I like the original, salt and pepper, and parmesan best, but I've never been a big fan of BBQ and salt and vinegar chips.

Re: Anyone tried Pop Chips?

I had the BBQ ones for the first time a few weeks ago. Very tasty, but not as good as BBQ pringles
