Weird, this guy's car payment was on top of my fridge.

So I was getting my electric bill from my bill basket that I keep on top of the fridge, and I see this envelope addressed to Ford Credit from some guy in a neighboring small town. No postmark on it. It was very surreal.

So I opened it up out of curiosity. The payment was about $250 and the check was written on February 26th, with a $15 late payment fee if it's received after March 8th. I taped it shut and mailed it when I paid my electric bill - I didn't write a note or anything like that. Chances are the guy will never know, his last payment will just be a little bit more.

The only thing I can think of is that he left it in a mailbox, the postman took it and somehow it got stuck in a newspaper I got in the mail (I normally look at all the mail we receive, my wife looks at the newspapers we receive).

He just thought your bill basket was a good idea is all. Wonder what he helped himself to in the ice box?

Are you married? Maybe he was "visiting" your wife.

Yep, agree with the others, he's a "friend" of your wife.

You should move your bill basket.

It was very courteous of him to include the late payment just incase. Your wife is a lucky girl.

I asked my wife about it, she said that it was inside an issue of Newsweek that I had brought in from the mailbox.

She thought it was just a bill, so she put it in the bill basket where I found it a week later.

It'll be a few days late so he'll be charged $15, but he will never know it since the $15 will just be added to the last payment.

I got a gas bill that someone was mailing out, stuck inside a magazine once. It was from about 50 miles away... I just stuck it in a mailbox the next day.
