If we had GPS chips in our arms no one would get kidnapped
 

So, today after work I was with some friends and the topic came up about the government watching every move of ours and wanting to track us with microchips. And one person argued that if we all had GPS chips everyone would be found. No more kidnappings, runaway kids, etc.

But then I was thinking kidnappers would probably just cut out the chip like in Casino Royale.

So, less kidnapping with mandatory GPS chip insertion? Yay or nay?

GPS would just let them know where to pick up the bodies after the kidnappers turned off the jammer. Either that, or they would find a large pile of arms.

nah, it'll only cause more injury in a kidnapping as technology will be made to trace where the technology is in the body and consider that part of the body cut off if the kidnappers are sloppy, the kidnappee at least hurt if they're careful.

Fuck that shit. We already have Cameras all over the place, gps type tech in our cellphones(remember how they tracked OJ during his low speed chase :lol: ), computers that monitor things in our cars and none of that stops crime. :lol:

The only proven effective protection against kidnapping is lethal self-defense, whether via the presentation and use of personal weaponry or those of a bodyguard or security detail, and even those aren't 100%.

Doesn't GPS not work that great inside? I know my Garmin GPS won't detect satellites when I'm inside or in a parking garage

You're talking about the wimpy consumer-grade GPS. The government/military/CIA/NSA/etc. GPS is way better.
