Do you guys actually understand how analogies work?

A is to B as C is to D does not mean A = C

I don't see what's so outrageous about this ad. Plenty of people live in happy ignorance about where their food comes from and how it's prepared despite claiming to "love animals" or be against cruelty.

What a bunch of asshats. I really do enjoy them, though. I don't know that I can think of a group that does the least amount of good for their cause because of how stupid they are.

The problem, I believe, is that once you stop eating animals, it becomes very hard to remember why you ever did it in the first place. Kind of like once you enter your 40s, it's very hard to put yourself back in a teenage mindset and take teenage problems seriously. So they end up writing ads that make perfect sense to vegetarians and vegans, but somehow put carnivores on the defensive. Personally, I think the only real way to educate people without alienating them is to make information easily accessible and understandable. You're not going to reach as many people that way, but the ones you do reach will be more likely to actually learn something instead of dismissing it before they even understand it.

The ad just seems so bitter. They're being condensending and you can sense the underlying anger behind the message. Regardless of how clever they're trying to be.

I'm in favor of any cause that preoccupies the minds of young Hollywood so they don't take up drugs and start shaving their heads and cooters.

If PETA wasnt so full of Vegan freaks and haters of meat eaters and devoted more of their time to ensuring humane treatment of our cattle for food, they would taken seriously. Insead, they are freaks and deserve scorn

Chickens are having sex on chicken farms? Well, I never! This clearly needs to be stopped.

Focusing time and money on making the slaughter of cows more humane is a ridiculous waste of resources. It makes much more sense to try and get people to stop eating them, especially since there is no good reason to NOT stop eating them (other than taste, which is kind of silly when put up against the problems it causes for health, the environment, etc. etc. etc.).
