A trip up to NYC manhattan for a day, which should I do?

On I believe Dec. 23, I am going up to manhattan for a wrestling event (indy fed).
Since I am coming from baltimore, would it be easier to just drive all the way up and back (i don't want to spend the night because hotel costs at that time of year would be expensive as shit), or just take a train up and take a cab to the manhattan center, and then back when the event is over.

Which event? I used to check out the MEWF and MCW shows around DC/Bal'mer when when I lived there. I might check out the NYC event if I'm in town.

Take the Chinatown bus and once you're there, goto Katz's deli.

Trust me, you do NOT want to be driving in Manhattan on the Saturday before Christmas - probably the biggest "gridlock alert" day of the the year.

And now for the good news ..... the Manhattan Center is approximately a two-minute walk from Pennsylvania Station, where your train from Baltimore will arrive. Literally, two blocks away!

Most economical choice. And not that scary.

I would recommend taking a train as traffic is going to be a mess.

one of the big Ring of Honor shows. in regards to a train, would a train to baltimore be avalible late at night? Show will probably end around 11 or 11:30.

There's usually an 11 pm, and I think a train in the middle of the night. Check amtrak.com.

Checked RoH and they have a show on Nov. 3 in Braintree, MA! That's right by where I grew up. Smallish town too. The Dec 23 show looks good-I may check it out if I'm in town.

Pre-show, I'd reommend Scruffy Duffy's on 8th ave & 46th St for awesome wigs (and beer...).Avoid Rock Center--it will be touron hell at that time of year....
