"Get over yourself!" I hate that phrase!

It seems to me that when people say this the majority of the time they are the one that needs to "get over yourself!"

Tonight I was watching a reality TV show and a woman lied to another woman and basically screwed her. The girl complains a bit about it and the liar says in her interview regarding the girl's attitude:

"Get over yourself!"

WTF does this mean? The girl wasn't full of herself so it seems like a copout for the selfish woman who just wants things her way.

Buford, I think we need to touch base here and utilize our synergy. I guesstimate that the last time we conversated about looking outside the box and stepping up the the plate was upwards of 2 months. I say we git r done dawg and nix this junk science, because this is hella lame. Irregardless, George Bush doesn't care about what phrases you hate.

Looking at this from 30,000 ft, your analysis seems extremely proactive.

To solve this conundrum, you will need to Think Outside Of The Box.

What I want to hear is one person tell a shy person lacking confidence to "Get under themselves!"

I hate when someone says, "we'll have to agree to disagree". How about, we'll just have to agree that you are wrong?

I think I started a thread about that already. Plus the It Is What It Is thread.

It's a real bitch to search and find the Is thread. Not enough letters in that phrase.

It's starting to look like all the cool new phrases bug me. Guess I'd better move in Andy Rooney.
