Photo Enlargement

Hello all. Wondering where the best place to get a photo enlarged to poster/art work size would be.

Does something like Kinkos or a photo store (Motophoto, etc.) work well for this type of thing?

Have a couple of photos I would like to enlarge and frame if the pricing is reasonable.

Thanks!!!

I used Kinkos a while back to blow up a cropped section of a 2 megapixel image to about half poster size. It came out looking great - much better than I had expected. I'd recommend them.

We need some useful feedback first. Come on, there's got to be something better than Kinko's. Right?

Well he could always try googling for photo enlargments, maybe there's a company on line that has some good deals.

This is one area that this forum has always been very helpful in. It's not just about good deals, it's about quality... and you can only tell that by sharing experiences.

I don't have much input here, but I will ask:

Do you want your enlarged penis photo to be on photo paper, a cardstock, or just a glossy paper?

I was going to get to the type later. I'm not sure I'd want glossy photo paper. Leaning more towards cardstock perhaps. That way it would have more of a textured feal. Plus I'm looking to change the photo to black so I think that will change the dynamic in and of itself.

I've always had my photo enlargments done at Kinkos and have always been very happy with the results.

I wish the OP good luck in finding something.

I honestly don't remember because it was part of a larger order, but it wasn't expensive. We had it mounted on foam core and it looked terrific. I did not have high hopes for enlarging such a small digital image to that size, but I did not see any of the pixelization or flaws that I expected. I don't know how they did it, but I was very impressed.

Heck, I get emails asking me if I am interested in enlargment all of the time, I can forward them onto you if you send me your email.

Has anyone mentioned penis enlargement yet? Because that would be funny.

I'm doing the same thing. I am blowing up my photos to a large size by printing out small sections then making a giant picture. (Like rasterbating, but manually and in color).

For example, I am starting with my nose:

My mural will cover three counties by the time I am done.

It sure will. Why not just buy a sheet of black construction paper and be done with it?

I second (third? fourth?) Kinko's... call the local shop and ask how much. Or if there's a university in your area, anyplace near a university would have a lot of copy/print shops, some of which might be cheaper. Kinko's probably has more experience with photo enlargements, though.

Or, call Ritz camera's... I had great photo enlargements done there once, but it was more expensive IIRC.
