crazy video

I did a search and didn't find this, so I thought I'd post it.

A buddy sent this to me by email. It's a crazy video where a guy speedclimbs a mountain without any ropes or anything. Not sure if he's still around but here's the link. Enjoy.

Just did a search. He died while attempting a jump. It's an old video, but I thought it was cool.

That is crazy.

Not bad, but the stuntman for Spiderman 2 takes the cake. I've played back a lot of the scenes in slow motion, and they've either done a heck of a job digitally removing the wires or he's the most insanse stunt man in history. Even with wires, most of that stuff would be pretty freaky.

edit: Obviously wires are used in the swinging scenes... he has webs that are clearly visible, but that's in-character and part of the story. I'm talking about the climbing and transition from web swing to web swing down crowded streets.

I thought that all those scenes were 100% computer generated.

I saw this on ebaumsworld a few weeks ago. Dan Osman was an insane guy, his whole life (and death) was stunts like this. Outside Magazine did a profile of him titled: "Dan Osman: Really Quite Stupid".

here's the story of his death, it's good reading:

Good read Hiro. I've seen some of his vids before, but never heard the story of how he actually died. Totally insane.
