McRib Farewell Tour...and save the McRib campaign.

ok ok...so there was a banner on this site..and looks like the mcrib has a website. www.mcrib.com and guess what....its going away. PANIC NOW. You can get t-shirts, and find out when and where the mcrib is coming in your area.

search only brought up this

Why is the McRib so darn tasty?

feral125 Just joined the McD so he could possibly sling the last mcrib ever.

they made a simpsons episode...

Humph, never actually had the McRib before maybe I'll have to try it.

Edit: And now I see why. As the dude says it's not playing in my area, dang.

I thought they should've come out with an Extreme McRib... double meat or 1 patty twice as big.

McRibs are gross... unless I'm in the mood for one - then, they're Mana from heaven!

That's why their limited avalability doesn't work for me.

The only place I've ever had a McRib was in Germany.

Good stuff.

Is it going away for a limited time?

I used to love these things, I think when I was in highschool. Maybe 9-10 years ago. Then one day I got a chunk in one and I couldn't eat them for years. I tried one about 3 years ago and it was okay, but didn't bring back the nostalgia enough that I ever got another one. Too bad so sad.

I have to admit that I've never eaten one. Am I really missing something here?

Now, a campaign to bring back those fried apple pies instead of the baked ones here in North America (still available at McDonalds in some other parts of the world), that I could get behind.

Not everywhere.. None in Jersey, and according to mcrib.com they aren't coming to this area for some reason.

Locater doesn't seem to work right, I just put in my work zip code and I got a negative. Just Tuesday I went to Walmart to pick up Ep 3, and I stopped at the McD right by it and got a McRib.

These things are manna from heaven, though you have to watch your regions. I grew up in Western KY and the McD's there had the McRibs year round for years and years because they were so popular. I worked there too for many years, and when we stopped selling them, it was not easy explaining it why we stopped, but I think it came down from Corporate. I live in the Chicago area now, and they only get them for a limited time each year. The sauce is different up here too. My wife and I visited KY a while back and a McRib down there, and the taste was totally different.

I don't think it's going away forever, it's just an annual thing now.

I like the McRib. Had one the other night. First time I'd had McDs in about 8 months.
It could use a double patty though. The bun is so friggin massive for the amount of meat.

I want them to return the Arch Deluxe. I've had maybe 1 burger from there since they quit selling it. The AD was the only one I liked.

It's a boneless pork patty swimming in barbeque sauce. Any other words would just insult it. You have to grok one to understand one.

Was that the "diet" one with the seaweed mixed into the meat?

Or was that their short foray into actual lettuce and tomatoes... Or was that the McDLT?

What was the seaweed one? Was it the McLean Deluxe? I actually preferred it to a Big Mac.

* goes to google *

The AD was McD's foray into advertising and marketing to an older demo. Had a fancy bun, some special ranch(?) sauce, good sized patty with lettuce tomato & onion. I think it was around '94-'96.
