I can't believe it--I got banned on another forum. I guess saying that "the mods can kiss my . . . " is offensive, even if you don't actually say what they can kiss.

I just usually think of myself as so mild mannered and polite; the kind of person who might get suspended, but never

Eugene Oregon.

Hmmmmm.

They don't like hippies at the other forum.

I've done it. I'm a genius. There's your answer.

They don't like hippies too much at this Other forum either, but I'm still here.

Oh, and while your sig is wrong and makes me sad, me too (okay, maybe I have a little regret).

I got threatened to be banned in another forum for starting a new thread to continue a discussion of a thread that just got locked.

I didn't realize how much mods don't like that

Me too. The mods kept saying we couldn't talk about something, then they changed their mind and said we could and even posted that it would be allowed. So I kept posting in threads that other people started, but they kept deleting them (apparently they changed their mind). Then I said something off the cuff about them having OCD with the delete button and how we should have a pool about how long my thread would last and how they could kiss my . . . . Then poof, I was annihilated. I mean everything I ever posted on that forum now says "this post has been deleted."

Well, it kind of makes sense now that I type it out. I'm not too upset because those mods really can kiss my . . . But it was first for me.

To answer the original question... No, not at all...

I got banned once. I instigated it but in my opinion banning me was their loss... I'm fabulous....

The mod there was the lord of all jackasses anyway...

I got banned from a forum once, too but I didn't do anything wrong. I was told that I was too nice and tried too hard to be everyone's friend. The nerve of me, wtf is wrong with me??

And it's ok, though, the owner of that site and I don't see eye to eye...

edited to remove the "nazi" word as it offened some people.

I got banned from an Enemy Territory server once. I questioned the admin's policy of banning the "God" word from game chat, but allowing all flavors of cursing. That event alone convinced me that online games are filled with juvenile idiots and that I can spend my time better... programming my own online game.

Maybe if you told him that he'd reinstate you.

But wow--I guess getting banned isn't that uncommon. It just seems like you need to be pretty extreme to be unwelcome at DVDTalk. Guess I've been so sheltered here that I thought it was like that everywhere (no offense to those who have been banned, though who cares since they can't reply to this ).

I'm going going to go out on a limb and ask if this was a "moms" type forum?

Well don't just leave us hanging! We want to know what it was they could kiss! Was it a baby? A puppy? Their moms?

But a single pic of your lovely wife is certain to outweigh any amount of warnings you could get.

And a whole thread of pics, well, that could get you a mod position.

Perhaps the moderators at that forum did not realize that you were a woman and wouldn't have been offended if you suggested that they should kiss your...
