Here we go again: Thermostat wars

I work in a loft type office with my boss and another coworker. Its a nice cozy spencers gifts looking place and luckily we have our own temp control separate from the rest of the building. My boss is a portly older woman and during the summer she liked it nice and frosty which was usually fine. But now that its starting to get chilly out shes starting revert to 'winter mode' where she wants it 80 degrees indoors.

HOW can a person need it 68 degrees in the summer but as soon as leaves start falling from the trees it has to be tropical indoors?!

Humidity! Put a humidifier in the office and 68 will feel like 78

I was just mocked at the office lunch table for keeping my thermostat at 75, either using the heat or the A/C.

Apparently some people need two different temperatures. I refuse to wear a sweater indoors in the winter or bundle up in the summer.

We keep ours at 78 in the summer and usually around 69 (hehehehe) in the winter. I see no reason for your office coworkers to mock you. You believe in a constant temperature. I am a cheap ass. Well, I guess that means some may mock my thermostat settings. Ah well. I've got my games & dvds to keep me warm.

I could understand a consistent temp. preference if not condone it. Its just crazy here. WHY does she have such double standards with this thing?

I like it to be 50 degrees on the even days of the month, and 80 on the odd days.
