Wife and Kids Gone 2 weeks. What to do?

My wife and kids took off today for two weeks on a trip. We've never been apart for more than a night or two. In fact, I think Im gonna sleep at work the next few nights Im on call because I dont like sleeping in my bed alone. Any suggestions on what to do so I dont sit there and think about them constantly(The song on the radio, Since You've been gone, isnt helping)? Im thinking about going camping/fishing on my next day off, which will help. But is there anything you do to get your mind off of your SO and/or kids when you cant be with them?

PS-I know I sound like a big *****, so no need to tell me anymore

Buy a keg and try to finish it by yourself before she gets home.

And kvrdave will recommend that you not clean anything the entire time she is gone.

What do you like to do that you don't have time for? That's what you do while they're gone.

Thats the first thing I thought. How many threads have I seen on this topic? I tell you what I do. Relax! Do odds and ends around the house and of course to the beer and pizza thing.

My wife and kids are going away next week. I intend to drink a LOT of beer, watch a LOT of movies, post on the internet (even more than I already do), and not much else.

Totally redecorate the house. If that doesn't score you some points then nothing will.

I know Phil L has started a few threads about Mrs. Phil L leaving for awhile. You should probably PM him for some valuable info.

BTW, do you like granny porn?

order out food everynight that you normally don't get to eat with your wife and kids.

Well, they made the first leg of their trip ok, so that makes me feel much better. And it looks like work will keep me busy over the weekend, so that helps.

I live in a tiny town in the middle of nowhere. If I want decent fast food, I have to drive 250 miles. Good food is even farther out.

Ive got to agree with Bando on this one. too much effort. Plus, Our tastes dont seem to match up. If I had it my way, everything would be tile or stainless steel with a big drain in the middle of the floor in every room so I could just hose everything off like I do outside. Most women dont seem to go for the steril look. Not enough ruffels and shit for them. Well, maybe I ll be nice and make the bed before she gets home.
