Ever seen something freaky in the corner of your eye? Is it from the Spirit World?

...and no, I'm NOT talking about getting a physical item such as (but not limited to):

An eyelash, or a piece of dust, or a bug, or a clod of dirt, or a piece of string, or a hair, or a booger, or a whateverintheworld, or even a whatnot in your eye...

I mean, like an actual person, or something like that in your peripheral vision, but then when you turn to look...

...there's nothing there?

WELL! I can't count how many things I've seen like that.

For example:

Just a moment ago, I was standing on my porch looking outside at the new young female neighbor in her (skin tight & ready to rip) Hot Pants unloading her car, and as I was doing that, I saw an old white man in a pitch black suit walk behind me in our living room.

WHAT ARE THEY & WHERE DO THESE THINGS COME FROM???

THEEK! I SAY!

GIVE ME A BREAK!

Because he wasn't an Indian but he was a white man.

(Oh wait. Did I step on someone's stronghold? Should I have said "Old Caucasian Man" to appease the "PC" CRY BABIES IN THE AUDIENCE???)

I was describing what I saw, so GET OVER IT & WHY DON'T YOU BLOW ME WHILE YOU'RE AT IT?

And why did the old man have to be wearing a "black" suit?
Couldn't you have said he was wearing a non-caucasion suit?

Thanks a lot.

Here I try to have a semi-serious discussion about an unusual, mystical, and or magical topic, and look what happens.

Well, I've got better things to do than hangin' out here bangin' my time in the wind.

I'm outta here.

Okay, seriously.....I've noticed it but never given it much thought. Probably an optical illusion or a "floatie" in my eye.

Paging art...

But back on topic... there have been a few times where I thought I think someone is there and I'll suddenly swing my head but... nada. Usually I'll think it's some reflection in my glasses... but who knows?!?

Maybe I've seen too many creepy movies for my own good.

THEEK,

This is funny because I was actually telling a story to a friend the other night. I've lived here a little over a year. One time and one time only I thought I saw something in the house. Weird thing was it was three times in one night. The first time was sitting on the couch and I thought I saw something in the hallway. The second time I was in my computer room and I saw something out of the corner of my eye. The third time shortly after the second I was in my bedroom and thought I saw something behind the door. All three were from the corner of my eye and after the second time I was a bit freaked out. I mean I literately thought I saw something. Freaky stuff.

Give another click on that morphine drip, and relax pal. It was a cross-reference joke to another thread (what isn't around here?). http://www.dvdtalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=424020

What you are talking about is usually referred to as a "Shadow Man", I believe. And yeah, it's all in your head.

Noidy,

I WISH I had a Morphine drip!

But seriously...

It's been a really tough couple weeks for me, and I hate to make excuses about my behavior, but being kinda out of it lately, I really wasn't expecting your response, and like a sucker punch I took it the wrong way, and said some things in anger, and I am sorry.

I was just describing what I saw, and it was an old white guy.

Even if a Policeman asked me to describe what I saw, I'd say the same thing, and if it was a black dude, I say "it was a black dude". I just don't know how else to say it.

...and if you haven't noticed, I'm not hip to everything that's goin' on around here. (I don't read each & every thread.)

Anyway, once again, I'm sorry for what I said.

(BTW: YGM.)

-Paul

Did you take any pics?

Seriously, I've had it happen a couple of times where I thought I saw someone walking just out of the corner of my eye, only for nothing to be there when I turned and looked.

They're most often referred to as shadow people. There are a ton of web sites out there with people telling the stories of their encounters.
