i'm looking for a high end dog bowl

i know i am going to get flamed to death, but i'll take my abuse... i'm looking for a high end dog food bowl.. right now i have a burberry water bowl and want to get a cool food bowl... the bowl can be small as it only needs to hold 1 cup of food. i've looked around and only found a gucci one for $900... don't want to pay over $100.. any other suggestions?

i know, i know.. i can buy a plastic bowl at wal-mart for $2 and donate the rest to charity

and yes kvrdave, i know it would be cheaper to just shoot the dog

For that kind of money, commission a local potter to do a custom one. You'll have a one-of-a-kind, and you'll be supporting a local, and probably poor, artisan. Austin's full of hippies, isn't it? You should have no trouble finding someone.

Costco has some nice stainless steel dog bowls. I think they were 2 for $8; I thought that was "high end."

Wouldn't that mean your dog was eating out of a more expensive dish than you do?

Unless you pay more than $100 for your cereal bowls.

Sure, but one assumes the OP has more than one dish he eats from.

If only owned one suit/watch/guitar/whatever you can be damned sure it would be a nice one...

for wanting to spend money on something important to me? let's flame the guy who wants to buy his father a rolex for his b-day... i know it is silly and i expect to get some ribbing for it, but it is a serious question

and i know you will say "does it make a difference what your dog eats out of? he probably eats his own poop" and you might be correct... but it is no difference than people tha buy a ferrari instead of a saturn or buy a rolex instead of a timex... they both serve the same function, but one is more flashy than the other.. if you would like to discuss it, i would prefer to do so in another thread though.

Go buy an old guzunda bowl. I see those in antique shops a lot. Usually porcelin or some kind of metal. A bit of cleaning and it'd be quite suitable, and a bit different, for sure. I've seen somewhat chipped and cracked ones as low as $15-20 before. They have that "antiquey" look to them, sort of thing.

Apparantly none of you "get" it. He's talking about Gucci and Burberry. He's not interested in something cool and unique, he is interested in over priced crap and bullshit labels.

Are you under the impression that your dog is Jesus re-born in the flesh of dog or something?

I'm starting to think he shouldn't be flamed for wanting to buy a $100 dog bowl, but for not being able to find one himself. They are all over the place!
