What are your pre-Vegas rituals?

Do you go to bed early the night before?
Start saving cash every week for x weeks before the trip?
Study up on your blackjack basic strategy?
Look for deals/coupons online first?

I can safely say that either the night before or on the way to every Vegas trip, I make sure I watch 2 or 3 of the following: Vegas Vacation, Rounders, or Swingers.

I also play some Hoyle Casino 2004 to get my mindset right for gambling.

And always check for coupons and drink specials (especially match play coupons) online before I leave.

I usually re-read over a poker book, go to bed really early the night before (early ass flights), and watch swingers. Then I get ready in the morning by taping the stacks of hundred to my legs and chest, cause you can't trust those baggage handlers. :D

Where do you check for coupons? The hotel sites?

I don't go often, but I'm making checking out this Vegas forum a pre-ritual. (Leaving tomorrow AM) OP - Staying at the NYNY, read your post in the sticky thread. A bit old now, but I hope it still satisfies.

Coupon/deal hunting is it for me I guess.

May watch Leaving Las Vegas tonight... Hmmmmm :)

Gas station.

ATM.

That's about it.

I go 3 or 4 times per year and I don't really have any rituals. I do, however, try and get drunk at least one night the week before I go. I don't drink very often, but tend to drink quite a bit in Vegas (especially when I meet my buddies there who are all professional drinkers). If I haven't had any alcohol in awhile, I get drunk too easy, so I have to get ripped at least once before I go.

I share some of the same.

Always watch vegas vacation, swingers, and since last year, The Cooler. (I have a portable dvd player so sometimes watch them on the plane there.. but not normally)

Go through a decent blackjack book I have (nothing to earth moving, just basica strategy tables, stuff like that I sometimes forget)

Save up plenty of cash, norm go to the atm a few times in advance since I think I can only take 300 out a time and don't want to pay vegas atm fees. So go like 3-4 days in a row to load up all my cash in advance (or hopefully all I'll need)

Norm play a few games of free craps on one of the sites, just to try to remember my game with that, and sometimes just a few spins of roulette just to be like ok, I can go put all my money on this and this is the outcome. (haha)

Count the days

That's all mine.

Go to the ATM, withdraw some cash. :) Start to get drunk.

Scrap up coins laying around. Shave coins thinner. Avoid repeated patterns. Take note of eye in the sky locations. Pick your spot and run like hell.

I usually shave me pubes...that way the craps have no where to hide.

Groucho 01-13-05 03:58 PM

I arrange an alibi in case I accidentally kill another hooker.

We've had some good laughs in here...but I'll tell you whats not funny..killing hookers. Hookers are people too...naked people who will pleasure you for a price u negotiate in an alley. Besides theres no reason to kill them because most of them are already dead inside.

I got the craps from the buffet at the Morongo. I doubt shaved pubes would have helped any.

Not to nit pick, but you usually negotiate in your car, or in your hotel room..... or so I've heard.

Actually he was quoting Family Guy. That episode was hilarious, as are most of them.
