So how many threads are you "subscribed" to?

So how many threads are you "subscribed" to?

Yep, it's just one of those threads started just because a poster is curious about all of you nutjobs. I just subscribed to a thread, and in doing so I noticed that I am now subscribed to 346 threads, and I was shocked when I saw that. I know I do it every now and then, but I had no idea it was that many. I haven't even been active here but for a little over a year or so.

Is that insanely high, or is it minor league compared to some of you?

EDIT: Make that 347 because of this thread.

One ever... it was miserable. I would only do that if I posted a thread in a forum that I seldom visit and needed an urgent response. Like if I was asked about how to read a book and posted in the book forum.

I've never subscribed to a thread on any forum I've been a member.

Umm, what does subscribing do?

I have a bizarre memory. I forget to pack a lunch in the morning to take to work, but I can remember a thread title from weeks ago and find it even with our search engine.

I was never so happy as i was the day i figured out how to turn off subscriptions and, most importantly, email notifications....nothing like getting 45 emails every ten minutes in the midst of some of the football threads.

Well, since this is going nowhere...

How many unread emails do you have waiting in the queue?

1090 in my main mailbox.

Mainly if you asked a question that you want to know the answer to. I subscribe to the thread in my sig so I can keep the first post up to date.

For those not in the know, a thread subscription makes the forum email you when somebody replies to the thread you're subscribed to. It's useful, on occasion.

It's not terribly annoying on most forums, since forum software is usually smart enough to only email you once, until you come back and read the thread.

I rarely subscribe to threads, and usually when I do I unsubscribe from them when I get what I wanted out of it. At the moment I am not subscribed to any threads.

X: Why in the heck would you keep unread emails laying around? I read them, then I delete or archive them. I have no unread emails on any of my email accounts anywhere. Except throwaway accounts, of course.

I have hundreds of unread mail in my main email account. Usually they are joke emails sent by friends that I did not have time to read.
