I'm not sure I'll make it out either. I just emptied the nightmarket in Mong Kok for merchandise I think..

Hangover / jetlag gone, so i did a bit better on the haggling.

Tomorrow I think its Buddha time to finish up this trip with some zen and quietness.

The Buddha is a total tourist haven - no real zen and quietness there, for sure!

Well, hope you enjoyed your time here in HK! I made my way to Yumla this evening, and met up with a gaggle of friends. Fun night, but it's 4AM now here, and I should sleep....

Hong Kong is a mighty interesting place. I was there for a week in 97 before the handover and then for a day a few months later after the handover (on a stopover). Here are some random photos from that trip.

It's even more interesting when you live here I's a remarkably easy place to live, even for a person who doesn't read a lick of Chinese like me.

The big buddha is worth the trip. Nice excursion. Make sure to take a bus to the top and not the bottom. Long stairway to the top.

The trip to Jumbo, the floating restaurant, is nice and the restaurant looks nice. We had dim sum there and it wasn't remarkable at all.

You can get a nice pair of designer eyeglasses cheap but much of what is in HK is either very expensive or just junk. I didn't spend much on shopping.

I have relatives in HK and have basically gone to see them and EAT. Best place in the world for the variety of delicious food!

Just do what the locals do:

Hang from a fast-moving bus using a pilfered umbrella.

Visit a local mall, slide down a plugged-in string of xmas lights.

Go for a scenic drive, through a crowded hillside shanty town.

Visit a church, get into a gunfight. (Be sure to bring your own doves)

I was there on Saturday!

This town rocks!

I like to just walk around but what others have said are all good.
