Making a deal with the devil: good or bad idea?

Is this something I should be looking into, or would I be getting in over my head?

I think if you have the chance to do it, by all means take it!

It's a very good idea. So long as you read the fine print on the contract he makes you sign, and it sounds kosher to you, then go for it. I've found he's a very reasonable demon when it comes to business deals. Sometimes his transactions are slow, you know, with all the others he has to deal with. But it's Gua-ran-teed. In fact, that's the final line of the contract and he says it when you sign it.

I'd be willing, but unfortunately he doesn't exist.

The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world she didn't exist... here... at DVDTalk... convincing chemosh6969 to sell her his soul and whatever else I... she wants from him.

....But you are correct. The devil doesn't exist.

The reason I ask is because I was watching Petey Wheatstraw and he made a deal with the devil and everyone was telling him what a bad idea it was.

This led me to start thinking, how did they hear it was such a bad idea? I doubt they, let alone anyone else, know of anyone that has done it.

Therefore if they have no proof to back up their claim, how can they claim anything?

If the devil was this:

I'd do anything she told me to do. I mean, let's be freakin' honest here.

I'd also do anything WhoGirl told me to do, as long as she told me to do it, in person, while wearing a bikini.

Again, I'm all about the honesty tonight.

I'd say go for it, especially if you know for sure you're not gonna die.

The greatest trick of people who believe in the devil is to convince people that the greatest trick of the devil is to convince people he doesn't exist, thereby convincing people he exists.

If the devil wanted to make a deal with you, it probably wouldn't be a good idea to say no, because the guy has connections, and might be pissed. I would think.

I've always wondered--if you tried to make a deal with the devil for eternal life, would he be willing to go along with it? After all, if you live forever, then he'll never be able to collect your soul.

Would your eternal life continue after the earth was eventually destroyed? If so, would you be in constant pain as you could not breathe in a vacuum?

I'll bet Satan would grant you eternal life if you ran errands for him that furthered his evil cause or, you know, started the apocalypse.
