I'm not of the pre-cable generation, but that's only because I grew up in Manhattan and we had cable long before most of the country. I'm probably older than CRM114, though.

Our cable provider was the first in the entire country. But even when we had cable, there were still only 13 channels at the most and only three networks. I never called WOR in NYC a "network."
