The best aging rock stars

With so many unrecognizable older rock stars these days, it’s refreshing to see ones who have clearly aged (with maybe some minor work) who still look like themselves. For example, this is a recent picture of Go-Go Kathy Valentine. 67 years old. Damn girl! She looks freaking great. Who do you think joins the fine wine club?

Re: The best aging rock stars

Kathy's great. I knew her at the time with the band. She befriended my then-little daughter and let her go on the side of the stage along with her daughter while they played a Vegas date. My girl was so excited.

There was a lot of bad blood with the band over the years, and her book probably made it worse, but I'll never forget how sweet she was with my little girl.

David Bowie looked better in his 50s than he did in his 20s:

Adam Ant is 71.

Having seen him live fairly recently, he's also open to stripping down as the show goes on. But if that hat comes off, there's a doo-rag underneath it, and believe me, there's NO WAY he's taking that off. Because we all know what's underneath it....not a damn thing.

I think Sting looks great for someone who'll be 75 in a few months. He could pass for 60.

It's the non stop 48 hour sex marathons that keep him so young

Susannah Hoffs is the first person I thought of when I saw the thread title.

You know what? You're right. When I saw the title, that's what I initially thought, as well. It's when I opened the thread, and saw the pic of Kathy Valentine, that I thought of Susannah.

Nick Cave still making greats.
Tom Waits seems to have finally retired. I listen to tracks on the Bastards discs almost daily.
Bowie's final album was awesome.

I wanted to say Ozzy but

James Hetfield, Peter Gabriel. Dave Gahan, Phil Collins, Bono, and Robert Plant.

Re: The best aging rock stars

What are we considering aging?

The Rolling Stones.
David Byrne is spry for a guy his age.
Stevie Nicks is aging gracefully.

I'd say Bon Jovi but those guys are around the same age as Pearl Jam. If Pearl Jam is old that means I'm old and I refuse to accept that.

Re: The best aging rock stars

As David Bowie in his 50s was mentioned and he is about to go into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame got to call out Method Man. Dude is impressive.
