Yeah it was really bad for a couple years and the fan "support" was a joke. Cookie cutter responses with no help. I did get my hoodie last year without a long delay.

if Rhino handles their fan club it is not a shock they are lousy at customer service.

Oh, hmm, it was over two years ago that I selected it, and I let my membership lapse sometime last year, so perhaps it never shipped before it ended, even though I selected it over a year earlier as my subscription gift.

They added the second step almost a year after the first volume was included with membership. Both volumes they didn't really advertise the fact you had to go back and check out again to have it actually ship. I let my subscription lapse for a day and wasn't able to get back to anything including the link to ship it. When I signed back up it was there again.

I’m hoping for a record store day vinyl release. There’s still time to make it happen.

This is nuts. Picture of U2 today. The two more famous guys look the same as they did 35 years ago. The other two I wouldn't even recognize at all.

That's not Larry and Adam. Trench coat guy is Gavin Friday. The long haired guy is Guggi. They were in this weird group called Virgin Prunes in the 80s. The brother of one of the U2 guys was in it too. I don't even know how to describe the music. It's not quite new wave but it's not rock either. Some type of mix of rock/punk/new wave. The thing I remember about them was really liking parts of songs and it always going to hell at one point. Friday is still making weird music. I have no idea what Guggi does these days. Looks like a red carpet event so they must be doing OK.
Adam is still very recognizable. The biggest change is he now has a mane of white hair. Larry has probably aged better than Bono and the Edge. He was on a press junket last year for a documentary about trying to open NYC's first public school for dyslexic student. He looked great.

Well shit, that was a misidentification of the band in a news article yesterday.
I know not to believe Twitter click bait, but I was taken in by that. Sorry.

Also I appreciate the trip down memory lane through YouTube. I got to remember why I don't like the Virgin Prunes. I still don't know what they are trying to do. I'm kind of wondering what brought them all together.

Boom another EP..
Easter Lily EP out on Good Friday.. This is fantastic.. Days of Ash wasn't really it for me, this is brilliant..
best thing they have done in a while..
While the Days of Ash EP was a response to chaotic times in the outside world, the Easter Lily EP is a more reflective set of songs emerging from a more personal, private place that some may retreat to in such times – exploring themes of friendship, loss, hope, and ultimately, renewal.
Song for Hal is a COVID-19 lockdown lament, with The Edge on lead vocals, written for the band's friend, the music-maker, Hal Willner, who would have turned 70 on Easter Monday and passed away almost 6 years ago to the day.
In a Life celebrates friendship.
Scars is a song of encouragement and acceptance; scars and all, with a twist.
Resurrection Song is about pilgrimage, a road trip into the unknown with a lover or friend.
Easter Parade is a devotional song, a celebration of new life, rebirth and resurrection.
COEXIST (I Will Bless The Lord At All Times?) is a lullaby for parents of children caught up in war, featuring a soundscape by Brian Eno.
Also - COEXIST (I Will Bless The Lord At All Times?) is the most U2 Coded song name ever..

It will probably deserve a new thread when the album is released but until then they are shooting a new video for a song called The Streets Of Dreams.
