Re: Bad Bunny to headline Super Bowl LX halftime show
Ehh. Bad Bunny isn't my cup of tea. So I'll do what I usually do during the halftime show. Take a leak, grab a smoke, and refill my plate. Quick enough to get back to my seat so I dont miss any of the commercials.

So you are suggesting replacing a young Puerto Rican musician with an older gay Puerto Rican musician who has the same political leanings and performed at a Harris rally? They would be OK with that? These people have been manipulated and trained on rage bait for years. Jesus Christ could come down and give a second Sermon on the Mount and they would still raise a stink because a brown Jew is speaking Aramaic and telling them to be kind.
Most of them don’t understand that the halftime show isn’t about them. The NFL doesn’t see it as entertainment. They see it as a marketing opportunity. The NFL already has the people
complaining in the bag. They don’t have the balls to give it up. The halftime show is about bringing new viewers. They have all but locked up the white and black male audience. Percentage wise I don’t think there is a path to expand there. The Roc Nation produced shows were to attract parents so they continue to let their kids play football in the days of CTE. Swift has helped with young females but I think that’s temporary even if she performs in the future. The older white female demo they have is locked and has nowhere to expand. The next largest domestic demo to target is Latinos who prefer soccer to football. The added benefit is that they can also target that market internationally. If and when the NFL conquers that market they will move on to East Asia and then to Southeast Asia. Think KPop and Bollywood in the distant future. They are trying to expand reach in Europe too but it’s more of a yearly curiosity for the Continent (and the UK) than a viable market currently.

True though maybe some conservatives would not make a big fuss if Elton John did the show if they liked the music but did not care about his lifestyle and maybe Ricky Martin is in the same boat.

I mention it in a couple of other thread. Paul McCartney was talking about the Civil Rights movement over the weekend during a show in Atlanta. It was meet with a lukewarm response by the the overwhelming white, boomer (and probably MAGA) audience. At least half of the men had their arms crossed with a scowl on their face. They just want to be pissed.
