Artificial intelligence in Music??

I recently read about a country singer, Randy Travis, who had a stroke and used AI to recreate his singing voice, I'm sure we all know about James Earl Jones being the voice of Darth Vader, but if I am not mistaken I came across an AI version of a song by Billie Eilish today. It's labeled official audio and seems to be from her channel, but is it her? Comments seem to indicate that it's AI-generated. I know they used some technology to clean up a Beatles song last year, but I don't think that was AI.

What are your thoughts on this emerging trend?

As long as it's approved or directly done by the artist, I don't care. Really no different than autotune.

I think it’s pretty wild how far AI has come in music. I remember messing around with a few AI music tools for YouTube videos, just because finding copyright-free tracks was a pain and I got tired of hearing the same old loops. Honestly, sometimes the AI-generated stuff sounds even better than some of the amateur beats out there. It’s also cool seeing artists like Randy Travis use tech to perform when they physically can’t anymore, opens up so many possibilities, though I get how it can be a little strange if artists aren’t in control.

For my projects, I started checking out music generators from https://soundraw.io/edit_music that let you make your own tracks and tweak them any way you like, especially if you want something unique without worrying about copyright. If customization matters to you, there’s an option to edit music tracks using tools like this online.

Yup, the world seriously needs more Simon and AI Garfunkel

Art Garfunkel: What the hell!? I'm still alive...

Artificial Intelligence? There's barely any regular intelligence in most of the popular music today.

People have done entire albums of AI-generated Wu Tang music. It's scary how decent the music resembled actual Wu Tang Clan. You could still tell as a big fan something was off but a few minor human-controlled tweaks would have made the AI almost indistinguishable from the real thing.

Whoever controls the copyrights and trademarks will go big time into AI clones of popular acts within the next 5 years.
