Hozier

The song of the Summer for 2024?

He has been around for a while but probably his biggest hit ever.

Re: Hozier

Never heard it before. Never heard of the artist before. Looked him up and I see he does that "Take Me to Church" song, which I don't care for at all. Not my thing, pass.

Re: Hozier

I've been listening to him for a couple of years now. Really like his music. I was surprised at his rise to superstardom but that's probably because of my age. This current crop of folk/indie performers have hit a nervous with people. His shows are absolutely packed, this fans hardcore and his putting in the travel miles with this current tour to the point that he's squeezing in more dates within the original dates. He added a 7,000 capacity venue in Wilmington NC after selling out 20,000 seats in Raleigh and Charlotte. Two months later he's in Finsbury Park in from of 50,000.

Re: Hozier

Funny enough my wife and sister-in-law are both fans and are going to see him in concert on Saturday. I haven’t listened to him a ton beyond what I hear played from my wife. I think he’s pretty good.

Re: Hozier

I listen to pop radio a lot with my daughter, definitely heard this song a bunch. Had no idea who the artist was. I think it's a decent song.

Re: Hozier

I'd never heard of him a few months ago but can't stop listening to him. Wasteland, Baby! is one of my favorite albums now. This version of NFWMB is my current favorite--I think I've watched this 100 times.

Re: Hozier

Pretty sure the song of summer 2024 is that Espresso song.

Re: Hozier

But this is probably eclipsing Espresso

I don't think it is that bad.

#7, apparently. I would have guessed #3 or #4.

Re: Hozier

I don't get the appeal of Benson Boone and his voice sounds generic and similar to a billion other singers

Re: Hozier

I got tickets to see him in Portland this year!!! The presale is on now, and regular tickets start selling at 2pm (for a lot of venues, not just pdx).

Re: Hozier

I like Hozier, but Too Sweet honestly seemed like a weird release for him.

...it's also probably his most famous song to date

Re: Hozier

I heard this on Sirius XM in the car and sounds like a Hozier knockoff
