Our oldest has been a huge fan for a while. Her stuff is decent enough that when the kid plays it, I'll listen and not tune out, and I think that's saying a lot since she is clearly not singing to someone like me. I think she's going to keep growing as an artist, and good for her.

Few years ago I made a disparaging comment about Ms. Rodrigo. It didn't hold up, she's been wildly successful, and she's a fantastic performer. I only have one nagging complaint about her. God damn, she's F'n beautiful. Why should she feel ANY insecurity about her looks and desirability?? I still get skeptical when she sings songs about heartbreak. She's a girl who breaks hearts, not the recipient.

I don't get into these pop princess beefs, but at least Sabrina Carpenter realizes she's hot and guys dig her. There was that video on the Insta a while back where she was showing how to impress someone, and she gets to the part of "provide a lovely view", and when the camera pans away from her, she suddenly shouts, "Hey! *I'M* 'the view!'". Yes Sabrina. You are.
