Since I signed up for the presale I'm now getting emails. They added dates but not Vegas yet.

She is offering $20 tickets at random via lottery that are scattered throughout the venues. Very cool idea.

I think it was the Stones that had done something similar in past tours.

That video from the new single was supposedly shot on the new iPhone. Good song, too.

Re: OLIVIA RODRIGO: Guts - September 8, 2023

I tried to get tix trhough both the amex presale and the regular presale.

Amex: the cheapest seats simply didn't exist, the least expensive available was $100 (with fees). Was just more than I could justify.
Regular: got waitlisted

For those who like to shit on Taylor Swift and somehow think she deserves blame for the prices her tickets were selling for (on the secondary market), she had thousands and thousands of tickets available for every show that after fees were only $65. Rodrigo's cheapest advertised price was probably going to be more, and those seats seemed non-existent to me, as nosebleed seats were still $100.

I saw $79.50 before fees.

Re: Swift comparison... $100+fees in a 20k arena doesn't really equate to $65 in a stadium with 70k+ capacity to me.

I also had no chance to even buy those TSwift tickets at that price if I wanted to.

I wanted tickets, and I probably would have paid that, but I don't really want to sit a mile away from the stage and watch on TV either.

The advertised lowest price was quite a bit lower than $79.50, it was (IIRC) $49.50. But it pretty much didn't exist, because the nosebleed sections were all $79.50 (maybe they did something like make the last row $49.50).

You seem to be suggesting that stadium concerts are cheaper, but that's not generally what I have seen. But I will admit I haven't been going to either in a long time (having a tween kiddo is making me go now), so maybe they are these days? And a nosebleed seat in an arena is still super far away and "requires" a big screen to see the action.

that's a ticketmaster problem and a "too many fans" problem, that doesn't mean Taylor shouldn't get credit for having thousands and thousands of more affordable tickets available for every show.

and how does a crazy popular artist solve the "I don't really want to sit a mile away from the stage and watch on TV either" problem? You don't want to see shows in stadiums unless you can be super close, and what should be done about that? Even if every ticket in the stadium was $50, you still wouldn't have gotten tickets, they still would be selling for thousands on the secondary market, and you'd still be in this forum finding a reason to complain.

They should perform in my backyard. Problem solved.

Honestly though, getting tickets to a show I really wanted to attend at face value was never a problem until the last 5-10 years or so.

Re: OLIVIA RODRIGO: Guts - September 8, 2023

I picked up Guts on my recent trip to Tokyo last month. This is the Japanese special edition CD from Tower Records. I picked this up on sale for $22. It’s a really good and mature album. I’ve become a big fan.

Sign Up for Silver Star Ticket Updates in North America

Olivia Rodrigo is making a limited number of Silver Star Tickets available for all dates on the GUTS world tour.

Silver Star Tickets will cost $20 USD plus taxes and fees (or the local currency equivalent). Silver Star Tickets will only be sold in pairs with a limit of one pair per fan. Seat locations will be selected at random and revealed on the night of show; locations will vary throughout the venue, including limited view, lower and upper level, and on the floor.

Fans must pick up tickets in person on the night of the show ONLY, with picture ID, confirmation number, and the credit card used for purchase. Any reselling or transfer of these tickets will void them with no refund. For shows in NY where restricted transfer cannot be mandated, fans will receive tickets on their mobile device.

Registering for the sale does not guarantee tickets. Only a limited number of Silver Star Tickets will be released for purchase per tour date. Fans will be randomly selected to participate in the sale.

Doubt we’ll be able to go but I signed up just in case. My wife likes her. I don’t mind her either but am more of a fan by association. Just bought my wife this album on vinyl recently for her birthday.

Thanks for the heads up, Dex14. My daughter will be insanely stoked if we "win." (and I'll be pretty happy too) My girlfriend doesn't like Olivia Rodrigo so it won't be a problem that you can only buy 2 tickets, lol.

I registered for the August Inglewood, CA shows. That’s literally next door to where I work at, so I can at least get free parking.

But, I’m not counting on winning. We’ll see. I’m only a recent fan of hers.

The best of the new songs from GUTS (spilled), by far, is so american. Surprised they didn't make that the single.

She is ok but Selena Gomez is the better Latina pop singer with the better voice and more catchier tunes.
