Sergio Mendes & Brasil '66 was signed to Herb Alpert and Jerry Moss's record company A&M, and Herb and Jerry produced their debut album. Later, Herb married Lani Hall, who had been lead singer for Sergio Mendes & Brasil '66 for their first eight albums (and on this song, "Mas Que Nada").
