There was a disco song I think it was in 1985 or 86, singing by a band I think seemingly a man, some girls chanting after him, he says part of it and that’s what I remember: “What to dooo..” and at almost the middle of song with the music the girls says:" aye yai yai yai pa pa ra pa aye yai yai yai yeah"

Definitely not a disco song but released in 1985 (I think disco died at this point anyway), but Dream Academy's "Life in a Northern Town"?
It's a band with a male singing, and women are singing the chorus similar to what you described.

It's a long shot.

There were a disco hits in 80s Italo-disco, Euro-disco .... I had a tape (Disco-Mix), the tape contain (All She Wants To Do Is Dance - Don Henley) -- (WANTED NAME SONG) -- (Theme From Rocky - Round One) and some 85-86 disco hits like (Colder Than Ice) ...

Paul Young's "Love Of The Common People" has both aye-aye, and a line where he sings "what can do... ooh".

I listened but have zero idea and I am usually pretty good at that kind of thing. The humming in the link is not really clear. Any way to clear it up a bit? You really remember no other lyrics at all?

He stated it was a song from the 80's though. so that would rule it out.

The humming didn't help me at all to figure out what it is. In fact, I wasn't sure there was an actual melody that I could discern from it either.

The "aye yi yis" make me think of "Promises" by Basia, but she is definitely not a male lead singer.

There are parts in that clip that make me think of Gloria Estefan - Rhythm is Gonna Get You. The aye yi yis throw me off but that song does have some chanting.

Sorry that I don't have any other Lyrics, but I was a kid at the time and the song until now never leave my mind.

Did some google searching on the info provided and not coming up with anything close to what you're looking for.
