Janet Jackson back in 2018 with "Made for Now"

It has been out for a while but it is getting airplay on MTV Live and maybe this is a mini success for her though I doubt she will ever reach the pinnacle of her fame back in the 80's and 90's and she can't compete with Taylor Swift, Beyonce, Rihanna, and the other queens of pop.

Re: Janet Jackson back in 2018 with "Made for Now"

I've been a fan of hers for as long as I can remember and while I'm not a big fan of the song I hope it generates some sort of success for her, even though she's no longer on a big record label.

She may not see the same level of success today as Taylor Swift, Rihanna or any of today's pop stars, but she doesn't need to at this point. She's certainly paved the way for all of them and has achieved so much that she's free to do as she pleases, and I'm glad she's still making music. Here's hoping this song isn't indicative of what's coming in terms of the album (if she's even releasing one).
