David Foster is basically one of the three or four greatest living music producers on the planet. He's worked with tons of bands, from Yes to Seal. Think a less crazy Phil Spector that likes marrying younger models, only to divorce them.

A couple of his older daughters had a show on VH1 a couple of years back.

I had to laugh when I heard about the engagement because I always thought Katharine had serious "Daddy Issues". Back when she was a contestant on "Idol" she had a hard-driving mother, absent father, and a relationship with a man twice her age. She also admitted later that she had a serious eating disorder. Before she started "dating" her co-star on "Scorpion", she broke up the marriage of her director on "Smash".

Katharine has already issued a message against the haters criticizing her. She wishes they'd mind their own business and pay more attention to mid-term elections. I know Katharine was hoping Joe Biden would have run for President in 2016, but she later admitted that was more about his sex appeal.
