The doctor who OD'd Michael said MJ's parents had him chemically castrated when he was a child to keep that high pitched voice. I don't know if thats true or not. But if it is Joe Jackson is probably where he belongs.

When I initially saw the headline, I had a quick dread that it was 'that' Joe Jackson. Thankfully, not.

Would this had prevented him from having kids? Just wondering because he supposedly fathered three children with Debbie Rowe.

Not only did that not happen, but I also don’t think the doctor ever said that. Sounds like pure urban legend. Michael’s voice was a put on. He had a regular adult male voice. He just never used it.

He used it during (if memory serves) the Super Bowl performance. He did a song (obviously lip-synced), then he talked before the next song, and I remember it blowing my mind because his voice was way deeper than his recorded singing voice.

Irrefutable portrait-mode evidence.

I remain unconvinced of castration claims.

I want to add that when I realized it was 'The Jacksons' Joe Jackson, I was happy I wouldn't have to suffer the usual confusion anymore.

Neither am I. But I wouldn't put it past Joe Jackson.
