The Silver Platters

These fresh face teens took the world by storm in the 1970s and then, like Sugerman, disappeared into obscurity. Critics have long debated their impact and influences. So I ask you: Which of their rockin' hits do you think is superior?

Someone posted these rare live performances on YouTube.

Re: The Silver Platters

Part of what killed The Brady Bunch was that the producers wanted to make it more music-heavy and have the kids do a song on every episode. Recording the albums already burned them out.

I just re-watched that episode a couple weeks ago, I wonder where the band was hiding in the studio when they did those songs live?

Yes I think they wanted to make them a Partridge Family.
