Anyone else get this?

Loving it

Listened to it several times today and I really dig it. Seems like a return to form and a break from the experimental jam sessions from the last couple albums. Sounds more like TFL that I became a fan of 15 years ago.

Yup, it's very good. Even (especially?) the song with Miley Cyrus is great.

I like that one too. I'm a fan of their work with Miley, so I was glad she was on a track for this album.

glad I gave it a listen all the way through
had listened to 4 of the songs before release of the album and couldn't really get into them individually

the album as a whole works better, however the back to back of "One Night While Hunting ...." and "Do Glowy" almost kill any momentum it has going for it halfway through

definitely not on the level of Yoshimi (my gold standard for TFL) but still worth listening to

I think this is a step back from The Terror, which I thought was their best album since The Soft Bulletin. That record had such great atmosphere that I wasn't as concerned about song structure. The album felt like one singular piece to me and it all worked together. This album has a lighter atmosphere and it's making me think about the lack of song structure in general. I think if you put this against a lot of other lo-fi music it would be indistinguishable.

It's better than Embryonic at least, probably on par with Mystics.
