Same here. And even with their lesser efforts, I've always enjoyed listening to them. Glad after 20 years, they still manage to keep their same style and energy.

Why So Blu?

I saw Garbage live at UCI Bren Center back in 2000. They were doing the College Invasion tour and Lit opened up for them. That was a fantastic show.

Can't believe that first album is now over 20 years old. #oldass

Cool. I like Garbage. Frankly, I'm a little surprised they're still around. 6 albums in 25 years isn't much.

When I bought their first album at Best Buy the cashier embraced the CD, holding it to her chest with a big, warm smile. I think my reaction was, "You like it, huh?"

First, their debut album was released in 1995. Not 25 years ago. And their first three albums were released within 3 years of each other. That's not uncommon. The fourth came out 4 years later. But yes, there was a 7 year gap until the next release. But this new album is just 4 years after that. I never understood that 7 year break, but glad that they are back.

Why So Blu?

The first time I saw Garbage perform was on Fox's Rosanne Barr produced "Saturday Night Special." They had tons of popular guest stars and musical acts. I think Nicole Eggert introduced them:

I really like the new album and is probably my second favorite behind the debut. Going to see them next month.

I really enjoyed the new release, and upon re-visiting the one that came before it, I found I liked more than I remembered. But it will ways be very tough to live up to those first two albums. Even the b-sides from those first two album sessions are amazing.

I saw them open for Alanis Morissette in Detroit in 1999.. Shirley had broken her arm around the time of the show and joked that she ended up with it broken after a fight with Alanis.
