Well... I'm glad I'll have no qualms missing his show since I'll be out of town when he comes around. Not my cup of tea.

I'd prefer him as an old school rapper.

Heh... I'm going to see Generation Axe in a few weeks and noticed that Kiefer was going to be at the same venue a couple days earlier. I was wondering why, and this explains it. Doesn't interest me based on that song in the OP.

I like that it's traditional country, and his voice isn't bad, really. But I'm just not sold on his voice when paired with the music. They don't feel right together for me for some reason.

I like it. He's got a raspy Leonard Cohen or Tom Waitts thing going on.

Maybe because he has a very neutral accent. Zero twang. Even Keith Urban knows you have to sound country to sing country.

It's not the worst thing I've ever heard. Agree his voice doesn't sync all that well with the tune though.
