They already did that with the RycoDisc re-issues that bonus tracks, along with some anniversary reissues by EMI. I'm sure there's more unreleased stuff out there for more reissues, but I doubt it's much.

I haven't seen anything that leads me to believe that these record companies/distributors care that it's only been a few years since the last reissue.

She's as good as anyone else, so I don't mind. Can't say that I'm a fan of hers, but I can recognize that she's weird as all hell (or used to be) and actually very very talented, just like Bowie.
If I could add one thing, I'd like to see Iggy Pop up there with her for at least part of the tribute.

Lady Gaga is fine and an obvious Bowie disciple, albeit filtered through Madonna (who herself has said her career wouldn't exist if Bowie hadn't shown her how to adapt and change sounds).

There's a record swap near me this weekend (why the hell do they call it a "swap"? The only thing I'm "swapping" for records is my money), and I'm hoping to find some Bowie stuff. I've been hitting the used records stores the last couple of weekends, and the only things I've found are a few copies of Let's Dance, and one copy of Diamond Dogs that was $35. Too 'spensive.
But at one store I was at, I noticed the "used arrivals this week" had a bunch of Lou Reed records, so I know that the scarcity is only temporary immediately following an artist's passing. I've gone nearly half a century not owning any David Bowie records, I can certainly go a few more months. Although as a music fan he's certainly someone I should have been listening to a while ago...

Oddly my local Barnes and Noble never was out of stock on Bowie stuff. They've had plenty of copies of Ziggy, Aladdin Sane, and Hunky Dory since his death, and they have added copies of Low and Lodger in the weeks since. All were $6.99.
This doesn't help me since I am lacking Tonight and Never Let Me Down, and those seem to still be expensive.
But the Iggy Pop albums he produced, I used to see those in store but I've had trouble finding a copy of those lately. Don't know if it's related to the death or just a coincidence.

Geez, I placed my order for "Blackstar" on vinyl through Amazon the day he died (was planning to get it anyway) and they still don't have it in stock.

The only one I can think of that would be as obvious would be Mechanical Animal's era Marilyn Manson, but him coming close to reprising that is a boat that sailed a long time ago.

GaGa strikes me as a Missing Persons Dale Bozzio clone.

Given her sound & style, and her having done the Sound of Music tribute, Gaga was the obvious choice for the Grammy tribute. I suspect most people like me all but expected it.

Thanks for the info.
BTW : it wouldn't play on a PS3 due to it being in PAL format, but does play on my X1.

I saw in a 10-year old interview, he seemed to indicate that he posts on the internet regularly - under an anonymous name. He joked that he'd never tell us his name. Now that he's gone, I think it'd be fascinating to find out who he was and read what he had to say in short 'forum' style comments.

Who Can I Be Now? is now available on most streaming services. This is the collection of 1974-1976 material. Looks like Diamond Dogs, Young Americans, and the original mix of Station to Station all have new remasters. The unreleased album The Gouster is also included in the set, but is comprised entirely of material that's been released in other forms (either on proper albums or as bonus tracks on previous reissues, although a few tracks on this version are in distinct mixes).
