Cocteau Twins are permanently lodged in my Top Ten. I listen to the Love's Easy Tears ep a lot around Christmas.
This one has a real cute video too ...

Not what you'd immediately expect given the title. Think Queen meets Foreigner, musically. Lyrically, it's something completely different - and a twist on the title (the title isn't literal). It's a great song from a great album...

I just discovered this band called The Nadas. They remind me of The Samples. Here's their "Coming Home", a pretty good piece of music:

Love the song for many years ago. First heard it used in the Strip Club scene from "Lost in Translation". But these spoof videos are AWESOME

I think this is the official Video

I don't know why, but the Music subforum is for all practical purposes dead.

I'll just throw in another quality Arkells tune, "Fake Money". Who here said he was from The Hammer?

I don't know who said it, but Arkells are from Hamilton. Their debut album is 'Jackson Square' :)

^Yep, that's why I was asking. I didn't know, but Hamilton Dude was thrilled to see Arkells posted. I think it was Coral.

Tis I, Sir Coral of Hammer. I don't know if I was "thrilled", but it's neat to see some Hammer love. ;)

I'm actually not much of an Arkells fan, but I do like "People's Champ"... and it's great that it's about Trump. Extra nice that it was filmed around the Hammer.

Far from my favorite PUP song, but I'm still excited about their new album (and seeing 'em in concert for the first time in May):

 I'm not a serious Arkells enthusiast either, but I like several of their songs quite a bit. Whenever said songs pop up on Spotify, I'm reminded of how bracing and energetic their music can be.

No one here likes or loves songs anymore.;)

"Duquesne Whistle" is possibly Dylan's best song of the last 30 years (not including "Series of Dreams"), which is admittedly not saying much. It's a fun, jaunty little ditty.

^Nice one, Norm. I wasn't familiar with it, but I like it.

Good stuff, andicus. The problem with Dylan's music is that it has aged along with Dylan, which I guess is to be expected. Few musicians can still rock or folk-rock in their 70s like they could decades earlier. I find his latter-day albums pretty uniformly dreary, excepting a few scattered gems like "Duquesne Whistle".
