Song - Criminal: Group - Disturbed
Song - Permission To Fly: Artist - Jordan Pruitt
I know, I know...my "tastes" are all over the place. Please do not use me as a barometer of what is good in Pop Culture (music, movies, books, etc.), I like a ton of pop culture stuff, most of it falling under Sturgeon's Law of 90% being crap, and 10% being good. That being said, a nearly 7 /12 year old Disney Channel artist's bubblegum pop song and a hard rock song from an acclaimed group both produced songs that I can listen too on a loop for quite some time without losing my mind.

It's about the 7th Panzer Division during the Battle for France while Rommel commanded it. It got the nickname Gespensterdivision because nobody, including the German High Command, knew where the hell it was because it was moving so fast.
Sabaton do alot of war songs.

Thanks for all the entries, guys and gals. Some aren't playing for me; must be a temporary glitch. Skull Orchard, I like "Understanding Jane".
Here's one I love. Rick Springfield's best song, imo, a mighty anthem that didn't make a ripple on the charts: "Tear it All Down"

Sorry 80s hair metal fan. This song was one of my favorite ever even though they didn't have any more hits (not like this one was really either).

The centerpiece of one of the great albums of the late eighties / early nineties:
<iframe width="420" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/wjo9CwDKRls" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
"There She Goes" is a famous song but if you haven't heard the entire album, it's worth your time. If Lee Mavers wasn't such a difficult/troubled person, there's no telling how great The La's could have been.

In 1976, Roxy Music broke up temporarily. Phil Manzanera and Brian Eno gathered a who's who of the British prog/art rock scene and performed three concerts as "801". Here's their live version of The Beatles "Tomorrow Never Knows". It's jazzy and psychedelic. I particularly like the drumming on this song by Simon Phillips, who has basically played with everyone:

Depending on your tolerance for K-Pop and/or lesbian overtones in music videos, you'll either hate this song or love it. I fall into the latter camp, as I find the tune to be rather catchy, and the video is just about the sexiest thing that I've ever seen. That last shot is KILLER. Here's Anda:

Re: Post a song you like or love.
Thanks for starting this thread, Norm. Love to be introduced to songs (and artists) that I might otherwise never hear.
3 more:
"Flower Duet" (composer: Lakme)...used in numerous tv & film productions (The Hunger, 50 Shades, etc.):
Was viewing one of the dozens of live performances w/ full orchestra & someone had posted the comment "If your cellphone rings during this, you go straight to Hell."
*************************************
"How Can I Tell You" by Cat Stevens:
The album version is achingly, heartbreakingly beautiful, but this live BBC version is so clear & well-recorded & shows what a great singer he was w/out needing studio overdubs/autotune, etc.
*************************************
"Joan of Arc" by Jennifer Warnes & Leonard Cohen:
Never get tired of this; the perfect marriage of lyrics, music, and performance. Stunning whether in studio or live.

Thanks to you and the others for your contributions, creekdipper.
I just felt the other thread, "Post a Song You Deeply Love...", was too restrictive. This one is much more open. Anything from "like" on up is applicable.
