Cool videos. Kinda surprised she's not doing Yellow Eyes. Looks like she's playing Austin in September. I'm all over that.

*Lemon Eyes ;) But yeah, it's mildly disappointing she didn't play that, Go, Adelaide, or Heart Heart Head, but the new songs are all fantastic. I think Take Me To The Disco will be even better than Sorry, which is saying a lot.

Phenomenal track. Was one of my favorites of all the new songs she played last week.

Album is out there on the interwebs for those who know where to look.

I see my signed post card from Meg shipped out yesterday from PledgeMusic, but my signed vinyl/lyric book/t-shirt bundle and my hoodie haven't shipped yet :/

As much as I love sorry, this album blows it away. Fantastic.

Really? I don't think any of the new songs released so far have come anywhere near the level of the previous outputs. They aren't bad though. I haven't listened to the album in its entirety yet, so maybe that will have a difference.

I think the songs officially released so far are some of her strongest songs to date, and the album as a whole builds on that.

Eh, maybe lyrically.

Having listened to it on my way to work, I wouldn't say it is anywhere near as good as Sorry. Musically, it is pretty repetitive and sounds too similar to songs from earlier work. None of them are very catchy besides Numb. Might be the lack of Andy Rosen as producer.

The best song would probably be The Death of Me for the sheer fact of how different and interesting it sounds.

It isn't bad by any means, I just think Sorry is way better in comparison.

I'll see if after a few more spins I feel any different.

Re: Meg Myers

I bought the album through Meg's Pledge Music page to get the autographed color vinyl pack, and last night I got an email saying the digital version of the album that came with the package was available for download.
...It ends up the entire thing is 160 kbps MP3s. Hoping that's just an oversight and they fix it.

Haven't had a chance to listen to the album yet, I'll have to get to it after work.

I think the majority of the tracks (Jealous Sea, Tear Me To Pieces, Some People, The Death of Me, I'm Not Sorry, Little Black Death, Funeral, and Constant in particular) are some of the best songs she's released in her career to this point. As good as Numb is, it might be my least favorite on the record. To me it seems like Sorry was just a warm-up, as much as I like it haha.

My signed postcard came. It literally just say "Hi, (name)!" with a stick figure drawing. I don't even think she wrote it or drew it since her signature looks like different handwriting.

I'm sure it's her considering she likes to draw stick figures judging by her some of her artwork she's posted on instagram in the past.
