I wonder if the bonus discs are worth it.

Those additional discs are just the "story of" each song - in English, Spanish, and French. 1 disc per language.

Yeah the special edition is 4 discs of the same but different languages.

I'm a big Enigma cd collector but I can't sit there hearing stories lol

The regular edition is $11.99. Not a bad price I guess.

So far....it's okay. The first song is classic Enigma in how he starts it. But the second the third songs seem like they should have been somewhere else on the album. Just an off way to be so subdued so fast. But once The Die is Cast starts up, it flows really well after that. Not my favorite, not the worst by a longshot. Just hoping it won't be eight years before we hear anything else from him.

I'll have to wait until tomorrow to hear it - my CD is in the mail and today's a mail holiday.

Both my CD's arrived today from Amazon SMASHED.

Now I have to wait on Sunday for the replacements.

Grabbed it earlier from Best Buy. Haven't got a chance to listen yet, but BB customer service never fails to disappoint.

I haven't heard mine either. There seems to be a tracklisting error on the back of the CD lol They list 14 tracks when it's really 12 tracks. Why they put "Return To Innocence" as one of the tracks lol


Received my replacements from Amazon in pristine condition and also for the $8.99 price.

Mine shows 12 tracks ripped in itunes but the actual disc artwork shows:

13. Sadeness part 1
14. Return to Innocence.

Neither of which are on the disc unless they are hidden tracks. Maybe they were a retailer bonus somewhere.

Guess I'm gonna have to play the disc to see if those tracks are available cause they are listed on the back of my CD. Or maybe those two tracks show up on a PC or something lol

I really think it's a misprint.

Yep my copy was the same - 14 tracks mentioned but only 12 on the disc and no multimedia content. I think they're supposed to be remix tracks. If they were actually part of the album flow I'd be pissed.

This a major label release - really pathetic they couldn't catch this, but maybe they just don't care about physical media anymore.

First listen done - it's a fine album but nothing truly memorable. It is extremely low key and I don't think I recall one uptempo piece. A Posteriori is pretty laid back but still has more dynamics than this record. Memorable tracks for me so far are "Oxygen Red" and "Amen". Did not think much of "Sadeness Part II" at all.

I do like that is has more in common with the first four records from a sonic perspective. There just aren't a lot of hooks in the music or the vocals. Good background music.

Word is that the two extra tracks being mentioned belong to the Japanese version which comes out November 18th.

I love this album so far. The more I hear it the more it grows on me. Favorite track of mine is "Confession of the mind". Also love the introduction!

I love A Posteriori one of my most favorite!

I still do, it did grow on me. I just hope we don't have to wait another 8 years for the 9th album.

Nice! Same it grew on me as well. Especially the song "Amen".

I sure hope we get another album from Cretu. I checked his facebook for any signs but I'm sure it's far too early. I just hope Cretu is at relaxed state and could focus more on his music instead of personal issues that got in the way of halting 8 to be created much earlier.

I still listen to it, but it's definitely one of the weakest albums and pretty forgettable for me.

Which Enigma albums you find better? Just curious. I thought it was a much greater listen than Enigma 7 Seven Lives Many Faces.

I love 7 Lives. 8 is just too mellow. When I want an Enigma fix I tend to pop in 7 Lives or Voyageur these days. Right behind those are Le Rois es mort, and Screen Behind the mirror. Cross & MCMCX tend to be on the back burner nowadays but were favorites at one point in time.
