Ok thanks. I'll probably order the deluxe.

I should also mention that the version I have (LP version) is the regular version but the bonus tracks are included. I paid $16.99 and the vinyls are black.

I wanted to clear that up. My version is not labeled as a deluxe version it just happens to have the bonus tracks. I don't want folks to spend that extra cash if they don't have to.

It's $19.99 now.

I listened to the acoustic bonus tracks. Really liked "Third Day..." and "Mephistopheles" reworkings.

I heard "Deep Six" yesterday. While I think it's a good fit for where Manson is vocally these days, and think it's miles better than some of his recent stuff, it didn't do a whole lot for me. One of these days I'll listen to the rest to see what's up.

I ordered the GoHastings exclusive and received it today. Their exclusive is "clear" vinyls and it includes all 13(?) tracks.

Re: Marilyn Manson "The Pale Emperor" - Jan. 20, 2015

Thanks to this thread, I listened to the album on Spotify, and I think this is the best thing Marilyn Manson has ever done. I tried to listen to Mechanical Animals afterward since a lot of people here expressed a love for it and couldn't make it more than a few songs in before switching to something else. But this new album, shit. Is it possible for an artist to have their best album 20 years into their career?

I don't really get the mechanical animals comparison or best since part. They're nothing alike - in fact, they're polar opposites. MA has many pop, synth, new wave, electronic vibe(s) to it. Pale Emperor is almost Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds-like, and it may already have been mentioned so.
